The five great
elements, The Panchatatva Mahabhutas,
as they are referred to, are the basis of the Cosmos.
All there is in creation, comprises of the Earth,
Wind, Fire, Water and Space.
When we celebrate the success of the man in
his endeavors,
we actually celebrate the manifestation of
these Five Great Elements and their combined activities.
No one in the Indian tradition represents more
completely,
more fully, the transcendent manifestation of
the Panchatatva Mahabhuta then Lord Shiva.
An artistic treatment of this concept
is portrayed in this Odissi Bharat Natyam Jugalbandhi,
Conceived, Choreographed and Performed by Daksha Mashruwala
and Anandi Ramchandran, in their respective styles.
Shri Krishnamurthy has composed the music for this creation
its duration is 20 minutes.
